El is a Neurodivergent, Disabled academic, activist and educator. They believe in bringing communities and groups together to promote growth and learning.
Their work has covered a range of disciplines and experiences, from working with the UK government to the NHS and through to the leisure and transportation industries. They have experience developing and delivering bespoke, unique training from governmental to grassroots level.
Their custom made resource packs have been used by the NHS and by governments to promote Neurodivergent affirming practices and policy. El has excellent event organising skills creating events both on and offline to reach a wide range of stakeholders. Lastly El has a proven academic track record publishing widely across multiple topics - including peer reviewed journal articles and edited books.
El holds three degrees, a BCs(hons) in Psychology, a PGcert(dis) in Methods of Social Research and a MA(dis) in Education, Gender and International Development. They are currently undertaking a PhD in Philosophy developing the Phenomenology of Neurodivergence at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. El is passionate about bringing theory and expert knowledge to their work as well as lived experience.
One fun fact about El is that they are fascinated by languages. They are fluent in French and hold qualifications from the French Chambre de Commerce (Chamber of Commerce). They are currently learning four languages - Italian, Dutch, Norwegian and Bulgarian.
El is a keen crafter and uses this to support their activism, presenting on craftivism and community. They believe in community action and promote community sharing and building. They can often be found assisting with supermarket food excess distribution and fighting food poverty in their community.
Through both academic and lived experience El brings passion and drive to their projects. Through engaging with clients and their specific needs, El works to develop custom made training and resource packs tailored to your organisation’s needs and requirements. Their work breaks down barriers and promotes equity and support for everyone.
